Quite chunky on the base so can be difficult to insert into the fitting, some bulbs seem easier then others for some reason. Once in they give off a nice white light downwards but if your fitting is on an angle like on some cars the bulb can cast a shadow due to how their made and not light up the whole number plate exactly.
