About this product

Product Information

When bumbling lummox Wallace Ritchie threatens a visit to his successful, handsome, and socially mobile brother's posh London flat, the only thing to keep him out of trouble is the so-called "Theatre of Life," in which participants play a game of intrigue with hired actors masquerading as spies and hitmen. Unfortunately, Wallace inadvertently intercepts a phone call from real spies, who peg him for the gunman in their assassination plot--but Wallace himself is none the wiser.

The title really sums up the main character.

My personal favorite Bill Murray movie. All the characters in this movie are engaging... but Murray puts a smile on your face throughout. Would recommend this very funny movie to everyone.

  • It;s a BILL thing.

Bill Murray in "The Man Who Knew Too Little" gives us that perfect summertime, late night film. Murray stars as a bumbling, clueless American who pops into London unexpected and uninvited so his Master of the Universe brother can celebrate his birthday. Trouble is the brother and his wife are entertaining visitors from Germany for a business presentation and Murray can't fit in. His brother has to make him disappear for the evening. Which leads to the complex plot. Given a ticket for a live, interactive, TV show without walls (or a specific locale), Murray stumbles into a plot by a top British spymaster and his Soviet counterpart to pull off a midnight assassination of two ambassadors, thus wrecking a treaty ending the Cold War (and their lucrative, paranoia-tinged careers). Believing ...

  • typical bill

If you are a Bill Murray fan, you will like this movie. The casting is pretty good also. If you liked Mr.Bean in Johnny English or even Peter Sellers as Inspector Clouseau, you'll probably like this as well. This is a spy spoof that seems somewhat clever at times but is essentially silly. Murray has once again nailed the bumbling spy role. He is great as the American buffoon who innocently stumbles upon a reality show that gets him into all sorts of trouble as a wanna-be British spy. This is reality tv before reality tv became cool (well, supposedly anyway). I found the characters somewhat campy and the humour cheesy, which means that the script has to be laden with jokes in order to maintain the attention of the audience. While the jokes are far and few in between, this ...

  • Bill Murray Being Bill Murray

One of my favorite Bill Murray Films. This movie kept us in stitch and shows off the genius of Bill Murray, he is perfectly hilarious and was made for this part. Had to buy it to keep in my top 100 collection. It just as funny the second time. Rates a 10 for me.

  • The man who knew too little

I had seen this movie quite a while back but remembered it was very funny. Have watched it over and over even funnier than I recalled. Thank you! Best car chase ever!
