Um es vorwegzunehmen: man braucht das iPad nicht wirklich, will es aber trotzdem nach kurzer Zeit nicht mehr hergeben. Bei mir hat es letztendlich bis zur 4.Generation gedauert, dass ich der Anziehungskraft der neuen Geräteklasse (Tablet-Computer)- und im Speziellen dem iPad erlegen bin. In vielen Aspekten stellt es den idealen Lückenschluss zwischen Smartphone, Notebook oder Desktop-Computer dar. Warum: es verbindet die Mobilität mit der Bequemlichkeit und dem Komfort in der Anwendung, sei es nun das einfachere Surfen nebenbei auf der Couch, die schiere Vielfalt der Nutzungsmöglichkeiten von Anwendungen (Apps) oder das komfortabel große Display in einer Auflösung 2048 x 1536 Pixel (264 ppi)! Ich empfinde auch, erst mit diesem Display (Apple-Marketingsprache: „Retina“) und der vorliegenden Auflösung kommen viele Programme im Vergleich zu kleineren Displaygrößen erst richtig zur Geltung. Und, da ich schon beim Display bin: natürlich sehe ich einen Unterschied zum herkömmlichen Display beim iPad2 (1024 x 768 Pixel; 132ppi). Hier empfehle ich in einem der großen Märkte beide Geräte nebeneinander zu legen und einmal zu vergleichen. Die vierfache Gesamtzahl an Pixel (oder doppelte Anzahl Pixel per Inch = ppi) ggü. iPad2 fällt in der Art auf, dass man (zumindest ohne Hilfsmittel) gar keine einzelnen Pixel mehr wahrnimmt. Meine ersten Eindrücke, nach dem ich das iPad ausgepackt zu Hause in den Händen hielt: es wirkt größer und schwerer als ich es aus den MegaMedienMärkten in Erinnerung hatte. Die Größe mit 9,7 Zoll Display plus relativ breitem Rahmen sowie das Gewicht (Gesamtmaße 241,2 × 185,7 × 9,4 mm; Gewicht 650g) sind am Anfang schon etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig. Man gewöhnt sich jedoch nach kürzester Zeit an Ausmaße und Gewicht. Woran ich vorher gar nicht gedacht habe: der breite Rahmen bietet einiges an komfortablen Haltemöglichkeiten für Finger und Hand, um das Tablet letztlich auch bequem halten zu können. „New iPad“ – „neu“ impliziert normalerweise auch „anders“. In diesem Punkt gibt es, was das Äußere anbelangt, allerdings keine Änderungen zur 3. Generation. Beim Design bleibt Apple sich der bisherigen Linie 1:1 treu und deshalb sieht das iPad auch genau so aus wie sein Vorgänger. Zu den wenigen technischen Neuerungen im Inneren habe ich unten eine kleine Auflistung angefügt (4. Generation vs. 3 Generation). Der Lieferumfang ist abgesehen vom Lightning auf USB-Kabel und dem USB-Power -Adapter (Netzteil) wie bei den Vorgängergenerationen wirklich spartanisch gehalten. Kein Ohrhöhrer, keine Hülle, kein Cover. Da es mein erstes iPad ist, hätte ich hier zumindest Ohrhörer erwartet. Als Ohrhörer nutze ich bereits vorhandene InEar von Denon. Softwareseitig war beim Gerät bereits iOS 6 vorinstalliert. Die Inbetriebnahme und die allgemeine Bedienung des Gerätes funktionieren Apple-typisch intuitiv und sind dank der Touch- und Multitouchgesten wirklich sehr einfach. Die Grafik läuft jederzeit absolut flüssig und ruckelfrei. Die Farbdarstellung präsentiert sich in natürlichen Tönen und ist in Verbindung mit der Schärfe des hochauflösenden Displays brillant. Der, gegenüber dem iPad 3, neue und schneller taktende Prozessor (1,4 GHz A6X - DualCore, QuadCore Grafikeinheit) verrichtet seine Arbeit zur vollen Zufriedenheit. Positiv überrascht hat mich weiter die relativ lange Haltedauer des Akkus. Es ist halt ein iPad. Es wird als Nachfolger des iPad1, das langsam alt wurde, genutzt und ist ebenso mehr oder weniger dauernd von einem Familienmitglied in Gebrauch. Über für und wider Apple lässt sich trefflich diskutieren, wir sind weder Jünger noch Hasser, sondern einfach Nutzer, und was will man sagen: das Ding ist einfach gut und schick, und es macht Spass, damit alles mögliche zu machen ... Die Androit-Welt kann das sicherlich alles ebenso gut, das merke ich z.b. am Handy (Galaxy-klasse), Apple ist nur etwas einfacher zu bedienen. Eigentlich ist es zu teuer. Derzeit würde ich es aufgrund der vielen Berichte über die katastrophalen Fertigungsbedingungen in China nicht wieder kaufen.
Ein vollkommen ausgereiftes Produkt,das sehr gut zu handeln ist. Die Ansprechzeit ist sehr kurz, die Bildqualität herausragend. Die Verarbeitung ist perfekt und das App-Angebot vollkommen ausreichend. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist für dieses Spitzenprodukt aus gutem Haus stimmig. Meine Empfehlung: Wer viel Freude mit einem Tablet-PC haben will, kommt an dem iPad von Apple nicht vorbei!
Habe das Gerät aus Interesse gekauft. Ich muss sagen es hat sich gelohnt! Nutze kaum noch mein Notebook. Die Apple Qualität muss ich verständlicherweise nicht mehr erwähnen. Super Verarbeitung, super Technik. Die Integration/Synchronisation zwischen iphone und ipad funktioniert prima. Ich will das Gerät nicht mehr missen!!!
Sehr gutes Gerät. Ich habe mein IPad 1 verkauft und mir das IPad 4 gekauft. Würde das immer widert tuen. Das IPad 4 ist schneller und vor allem der Bildschirm ist unglaublich gut!!
