Silent Hill 4: The Room tells a story as surreal as it is disturbing. Players take the first-person role of an unfortunate man named Henry Townsend, but unlike earlier games in the survival-horror series, they will not explore a strange rural area or deserted small town. Instead, they will find themselves completely trapped in Henry's small apartment. After days alone, confined, Henry starts to notice strange holes -- apparent breeches in time and space -- that have begun to appear in his bathroom. Is he just going stir-crazy, or are these weird gaps really his only hope of escape?<br><br>Passing through these supernatural portals transports Henry to strange, dangerous places, where players guide him from a third-person perspective to accommodate the more action-oriented challenges he'll face. He'll also face a number of puzzles, intended to challenge even veterans of the earlier Silent Hill adventures. Upon receiving the package it showed signs of rough handling. The disc itself was very scraped even though the seller said it was in very good condition also the case was broken and damaged as well. The seller should accurately represent the condition of the items to ensure transparency and build trust with their buyers. In this case the discrepancy between the listing and the product was significant leaving me feeling misled. Moving forward I truly hope the seller does a better job.

Clearly based on the photos the disk was in excellent condition. The case is clearly not cracked or damaged in the photos. The game was sent in a bubble mailer inside of a box, so it was definitely not damaged via shipping. This account was created less than 2 weeks ago and is clearly to manipulate feedback. Sellers beware of this "buyer".

Comments Silent Hill 4 explores a variety of creepy levels & has quite a new style when it comes to the demonic creations within the game. The style leans much more towards Japanese horror films. There are many creepy sights to see in the game that may shock you. Verdict Must play for any survival horror fan. I want to warn you that this review is going to be highly bias because I happen to be a huge fan of the Silent Hill series. But anyway, please do trust that this review is honest and let me assure you that you can use this review, fan of SH or not, in your decision to buy this game. Silent Hill 4 for the Xbox is a great game simply because it delivers in every aspect: gameplay, graphics, intrigue, storyline, and overall enjoyment. The only complaint I have about this game is that Konami added a few tedious things to this installment like a Ghost monster and the fact that your inventory is limited and you must make use of the inventory box in your apartment. The Ghosts are really annoying and they pop up at the most inconvenient times. You cant shoot them with your gun, you'd be just ... Instead, you must go back and forth to the inventory box in your apartment when your inventory gets full. Also, if you have, and you will have, multiple boxes of ammo for the same gun, they each take up a space in your personal inventory. Which sucks...majorly. But after everything that I don't like about this game, the overall enjoyment and overall experience is totally worth it. This game is awesome and its the perfect addition to any Silent Hill fan's collection or to any fan of survival horror games and the Xbox.

SH4 has some new elements, such as both first and third person perspectives and a greater emphasis on combat. There are also "ghosts," which harass you throughout the game, are impossible to kill and very difficult to even incapacitate. As in the rest of the games in the "Silent Hill" series, the puzzles are tough (and not always 100% logical). The music and the story are top notch, which fans of the series will be used to. One of the "drags" of the game is that you repeat the same five levels twice--the second time you do so with an injured person who has to be protected and moves at a slow pace. The ghosts and the villain (who are pretty much ... Silent Hill 4 isn't as good as some of the other games in the "Silent Hill" series. But if you're a fan of the series, you'll enjoy it. SH4 has some new elements, such as both first and third person perspectives and a greater emphasis on combat. There are four seperate endings possible depending on how you play the game. There's only one really "happy" ending. The rest are varying degrees of...unpleasant. At the beginning of the game, you find yourself locked in your apartment with no way to escape. You can see the world through your windows, the peephole in your front door and another peephole someone drilled through to your pretty neighbor's room. This makes for a very claustrophobic and somewhat voyeuristic experience. You're trapped in your apartment--except for a strange hole that suddenly appears in your bathroom wall. By crawling through that hole in the bathroom wall you find yourself in a surreal realm where grotesque creatures attack you and the other "normal" people who are unlucky enough to find their way there. That realm is Silent Hill. As the game progresses, more and more of the "strangeness" of Silent Hill invades the "normal" world you take refuge in between levels. But to solve the game you have to venture to Silent Hill again and again. On top of the ghosts and bizarre creatures, there's a serial killer on the loose in this otherworldly realm. He's looking for sacrifices. And it seems that death has only slowed him down...

I always liked monsters and puzzle games, just like this. It isn't as good as Resident Evil or previous Silent Hill Games, but is good and i like playing it. The ghosts and monsters can be hard in some parts of the game, and it has a lot of puzzles to solve. It's not the game like you kill and you'll be fine...
