As described, well packed, again a parcel let down by Royal Mail delivery, not the sellers fault in any way, but delivered to a neighbour and no card left to inform. Took a further 3 days to get to me. Again not the sellers fault as I have no problems reccomending them. Many thanks.

    wonderful little engine

this little loco was bought by me because I already had some more I machined up a new funnel out of brass and fitted it to the loco, after about three goes at getting it running I found that the wiring on top of the motor was shorting out on the top plate of the motor ,re-wired it and of she went and has been running ever since, it is now being re-numbered and will be joining the others,i think that the price that I paid for it was great and with a little bit of work has turned out to be a great little engine, well pleased.

  • Most critical review

A GOOD MODEL IN IT'S DAY BUT LATER ONES ARE MUCH BETTER

I WASN'T ABLE TO RATE WHETHER THIS LOCO. IS GOOD OR BAD,DUE TO IT BEING OF A VERY OLD EARLY HORNBY 2 RAIL MAKE. THE ONE I RECEIVED WAS IN QUITE GOOD CONDITION FOR IT'S AGE, BUT TYPICALLY IT'S A NOISY RUNNER AND THE MOTOR SMELLS. THIS IS A REFLECTION OF IT'S AGE AND NOT POOR QUALITY,WHICH OVERALL IS QUITE GOOD.

  • An interesting acquisition, chiefly for nostalgic reasons.

The model runs reasonably well but needs some maintenance. There is a mendable crack in the front buffer beam. I chiefly value this purchase for nostalgic reasons. I saw M7s in my youth (1950s) on the Reading-Redhill line at Farnborough North.

  • Looks like new!

This model locomotive was built around 1969/1970 and it looks like new (the box is also in fairly good condition). The engine also runs reasonably well.
