Konami's acclaimed soccer franchise continues with World Soccer Winning Eleven 9, which for the first time includes online support for ranked matches and tournaments against players from around the world. The development team has tweaked the controls, formations, and animations for the ninth installment, but longtime fans will focus instead on the changes to the Master League mode, where players can embark on multiple seasons with increased management options. Players can decide to build a team from the ground up or guide an existing club, including new additions Chelsea and Arsenal, in its goal to become league champion. Recruiting is a key part of the Master League mode, as athletes on each team will suffer injuries, grow older, and eventually retire. To help prevent a club from sinking in the standings, players will be able to negotiate with literally thousands of athletes to develop the next crop of superstars. Other featured modes include League Play, Cup, Training, and Memorial Match, with the latter tracking key statistics in head-to-head battles for up to 20 rivals.

Fun Game, however I prefer EA FIFA titles. I have played FIFA for years and tried the WE 9 title for a change. Game play on WE 9 is more loose and free flowing. Calling second defender results in a foul almost every time. Cinematics slow play down and happen too frequently. Crossing the ball is eratic and often times misses everyone in the box completely. Passing is button pressure sensitive and often times plays out of bounds on simple 10 foot passes. Bottom line: not a bad game, the pick up and play is difficult and takes many hours to master and enjoy thoroughly.Fun Game, however I prefer EA FIFA titles. Review WE9 for Xbox
Realistic gameplay - no problems with ball on a string, dribbling feels natural. Can do every move thinkable. Scoring is not too easy like in some games where you get no challenge and win 8 - 0 all the time. Passing and offensive creativity are rewarded. Solid graphics - players faces are well done, models are smooth and not blocky. Stadiums have a good atmosphere. Presentation - missing some EPL kits and some players here and there but everything is editable. Has liscenses for Spanish & Italian leagues. Music is tolerable. Not only can you create and edit just about every player in the game... You can trade players, edit team jerseys. You also can compete for lots of cups, not to mention you can edit everything from the cup's name to how high or low you want someone's hair to be. There is like an emdless amount of things to do in the game. You can hear the game being played in about 5-6 different languages including Italian, French, Spanish, Dutch, and English. It was well worth going crazy looking for this game. I'm not trading this game in until something better comes out, and you know what, nothing better is out there... Most Amazing Game in whole gaming industry...
This is the most amazing game that i've ever played. I've been playing Winning Eleven Series, since came up to the gaming zone. Especially this one is unbelievable. You almost kick the ball as it is real. Feeling all the details of soccer (as a player and manager) gives you an incredible boost to just go out there and kick the ball. Redefined user friendly menus, reduced tactical changes, improved gameplay and movement of the players, improved artifical intelligence, better multiplayer gameplay, and off course FOR FIRST TIME EVER ONLINE PLAY. PES-5 which is the European Version of Winning Eleven came up couple of months ago for PS2 but it's never been as good as playing on XBOX and since we have ONLINE advantage (ohh god i was waiting for this for a long long time), that makes a perfect ... This is the most amazing game that i've ever played. I've been playing Winning Eleven Series, since came up to the gaming zone. Especially this one is unbelievable. I love soccer, and this is a great game. Highly recommended, lot of fun. Lots of options for many different game plays. It's fun to play with your friends. I haven't tried the online functionality yet, but it is available.
