The white PSOne is a compact variant of the first Sony PlayStation gaming console, offering the same classic gaming action while taking up much less space. It uses the same standard controller as the first PlayStation, complete with analog, directional, and dual analog controls as well as the classic square, triangle, circle, and X buttons. This slim PS1 is compatible with first generation PlayStation games such as "Need for Speed III: Hot Pursuit", "Soul Blade", "Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage", "Tomb Raider II", "Resident Evil 2" and more. In fact, there are thousands of excellent titles that you can enjoy on the Sony PS1. With this edition, the ports for the memory cards and controllers are situated directly inside the motherboard to ensure fast data transfers. It's an extremely light console that weighs just over five pounds, allowing you to readily transport it with you when traveling. There are hardly any cords to manage, so setting up can be a breeze.     Very serious seller with a pretty good communication ! Game received as described in the description of the article (with just some usual usage for both the cartridge and instruction manual). Because it has to be delivered from the US to France, the shipping almost took one months to arrive (though sadly, I had to pay custom duties and taxes in order to receive my package) but it came at the right time. It came in a bubble mail but nothing has been damaged during the shipping, so very happy ! :)

    Oh my gosh this brought so much nostalgia back and so many memories. Everything is as pictured and the disk was in excellent condition. It’s definitely worth the price and the quality is just as I remembered it to be. Right it of the package the case was not damaged or scratched or chipped and the coloring of the paper that comes in the case was not faded or torn. I am going to recommend the seller. They do a wonderful job and getting it shipped quickly and I’ll be a repeat customer for sure.

    Console works. The lid latch is a little loose and doesn’t always stay closed properly, but can be held down by sitting an object on top of it. The controller has something wrong with it so that it constantly glitches a game when plugged in. The memory card worked briefly but stopped being readable the next day. But I was able to play my old childhood games and my kid is enjoying playing some too, so I’m happy about that!

    Console has issues reading certain PS1 discs that other units are able to read, even discs that appear to be in good condition. Makes a clicking, revving noise when having this issue, so I do suspect it’s a hardware issue. I ended up using the included cords and controller on a different console, which has been working out.

    retro-gaming bliss

    my fondest video game memories started on the PlayStation 1 console. I still have my original blocky grey one to this day. This PS-one though is the same animal but in a compact size with more options for portability then anything else. you can play as is, or hook it up to a 5" PlayStation lc screen for a self contained model, or even hook the both of them to a compatible battery pack they made for it and you can take the whole unit on the go. they definately took a great conept and made it better with this redesigned version.

    Absolutely phenomenal better than I could have expected

    This PlayStation the only issue was that the lid wasn't wanting to stay closed this can be fixed by simply putting something on top of the disc lid just heavy enough that it doesn't pop out but it also was able to be fixed by taking apart the system in cleaning the eject button in shaft with a little bit of soap and water and a little scrub brush I was expecting like the the outlet Port just suffer or the disc drive not to spin but to be absolutely honest this unit was absolutely perfect I got it to run I actually happen to have a spare bit of chords so now my nephew's when they come over get to play games with their uncle that he played when he was their age just wow I came and refer to it as a four parts unit with how amazing it was taken care of.

    Issues not noted in original listing, but still works

    The PSOne has issues with the lid closing and the controller is not detected unless it is taken out and put back in a few times, but it does eventually work. The system itself works fine and the games run without issue. I also appreciate how well it was packaged and the speed of delivery.
