Item dispatched more than a week after purchase and that was only after I chased the order. I then asked for it to be sent to my home address as the original order address was only temporary (over Christmas). This was ignored. Thankfully it was at least in the condition as described on the listing.

You can guess from the title that this a journey back in time - nearly a decade ago when the Kodak DC3400 Zoom Digital Camera was a really hot digicam with a whopping 2.1 Megapixels and was launched from Kodak's Rochester Office in New York. The camera had a chunky-rounded design, (almost a little retro in style) with a 2x zoom lens with a 35mm equivalent zoom range of 38(W) to 76mm(T), and a 1.8inch LCD to preview pictures. Its own Kodak Operating System is full of informative graphics & icons. Ten years later this digicam is still a good performer with easy operation & rich vibrant colours. Plus its worth less than a bottle of wine, hence you don't really mind if Emily or Tarquin drops it the local duck-pond! The DC3400 also runs on a set of AA batteries that can be purchased everywhere ...

  • Simple and rugged

Good: Optical zoom; uses standard AA batteries and CF memory cards. Chunky and rugged, reasonably sized controls, easy to use. Not so good: Relatively short battery life; no USB; only 2Mpix resolution. Bought because it was cheap, works ok, is tough, and not worried about losing it or damaging it.

  • before you buy

the listing and wording was excellent yet the product on arrival was to old to resell so iam lumbered with it .Always with second hand {used goods}take time to get more info from seller .Anyone want to buy a kodak camera? Seriously though it is worth losing money in the long run because then you dont make the same mistake again. Hope this is helpful remember though dont always blame the seller it is up to you to be convinced before you buy . thanks stewart

  • Not high resolution but this is a good camera

I do like the DC3400 it gives a very high quality image that is ideal for e-Bay use or for just taking pictures that are not high resolution. People seem to be caught up in the resolution game but to me picture quality is more important than being able to zoom in on a fly on the wall in the photo you just took. I have 2 of these cameras and would recommend these to anyone that values quality photos without having to spend a fortune. This is not the lightest camera so is suited for use in a fixed location.
