    superb.

    I now have 8 of the Olympus VN-541pc, I use them for EVP recording sessions when leading my paranormal group out on investigations, they are light weight, very well made and so reliable, I have never had a problem with them in 8 or 9 years of using them, the one touch record is superb, just push the button and recording starts, this makes these one of the best for working in the dark, quility of play back is also superb, through speaker or head phones the sound quility is clear and crisp and the batteries last for ages, also the memory storage is really good and holds several full recording sessions at a time, cant fault the VN-541pc and neither will you.

    A no frills recording technology. Great for the price

    The item was bought as a simple method to record meeting minutes and it performed well enough. Recording quality was average, but expected due to age and condition. Transferring recording to PC was simple. It did the job required.

    Olympus reach the summit with this all round winner

    Straight out of the box this product really impresses. My expectations were easily surpassed by the solid build quality and pleasant weight and balance in the hand. It could not be easier to learn the basic controls and yet there's plenty of scope for adjustments if you are a fiddler. Sound quality is acceptable for a product of this kind and vocal recording is good. All in all, this is a good bet if you are after something like this. It feels like it should have a long life of service and is well designed to boot. Dial in excellent price and it is a no brainer!!

    Does the job

    If you want to record notes or lectures, this does the job. The only downside is that you cannot pause the recording if there is something you do not need to record. Really like it using 2 AAA batteries rather than built in ion battery.
