Synopsis
Can a 400 year-old manuscript be the key to saving the world? CIA listening posts have detected evidence of an extraordinary operation by cosmonauts of the resurgent and aggressive Russian regime - a plan to deflect a giant asteroid into a collision course with the United States. The result would be unimaginable devastation, and the West's top astrophysicists are secretly assembled to try and find a way of averting total disaster. But the key to finding the asteroid is an incredible one - its course was predicted in an obscure Renaissance manuscript, the only copy of which has now gone mysteriously missing..., Constituting the largest reference work on Doctor Who ever written, the six-volume About Time strives to become the ultimate reference guide to the world's longest-running science fiction program. Written by Lawrence Miles (Faction Paradox) and long-time sci-fi commentator Tat Wood, About Time focuses on the continuity of Doctor Who (its characters, alien races and the like), but also examines the show as a work of social commentary. In particular, Miles and Wood dissect the politics and social issues that shaped the show during its unprecedented 26-year run (from 1963 to 1989), detailing how the issues of the day influenced this series. As part of this grand opus, About Time 4 examines Doctor Who Seasons 12 to 17 (1975 to 1979)-starring Tom Baker, the actor who popularized the show in America. Among other things, About Time 4 examines how the show's Gothic horror phase and its aftermath, plus answers such vitally important Who questions as Where (and When) is Gallifrey? and Why Couldn't the BBC Just Have Spent More Money?

- 2***9 (9)- Feedback left by buyer.Past monthVerified purchaseOne of the most honest & incredible sellers on eBay! I didn’t realize it at the time, but these Polaroids were shipped with the Andy Warhol Dunny set. The box was huge and filled with packing peanuts to keep the case from moving around and the 2 sets of Andy Warhol Polaroids slipped deep into the peanuts. I reached in, but couldn’t feel anything, & garbage was the next day (again, the set arrived almost immediately)! I missed them but the seller sent me replacements immediately!!!
- h***b (35)- Feedback left by buyer.Past 6 monthsVerified purchaseI cannot say enough good things about the care the seller took in sending my puzzle to me. It was packed with packing paper and then placed in a strong box and taped. The puzzle itself, while from older Cobble Hill stock is in perfect condition and still in its very clean original wrapper with no tears or holes (and no dust from being stored). Great job!!! I would certainly order from this seller again.
