This box set contains all the episodes from Season 3 of the best Sci-Fi series ever. New characters are introduced, including Marcus Cole (Jason Carter) of the Rangers (anyone else notice the nod to Tolkien?) as well as new toys like the White Star spacecraft. But this is a series that is not afraid to bite the bullet, so be prepared for the death of a major supporting character. A third of the way through the series, the episodes "Messages from Earth", "Point of No Return" and "Severed Dreams" are pivotal, and change the nature of the story in a way no previous series has attempted. Earth slides into dictatorship, the fascist Nightwatch takes control of off-world security and Sheridan takes decisive action by declaring Babylon 5 independent. The two-part "War Without End" reaches ... This box set contains all the episodes from Season 3 of the best Sci-Fi series ever. New characters are introduced, including Marcus Cole (Jason Carter) of the Rangers (anyone else notice the nod to Tolkien?) as well as new toys like the White Star spacecraft. The series concludes with the monumental episode "Z'ha'dum". In the preceding "Shadow Dancing", Anna Sheridan (Melissa Gilbert, Bruce Boxleitner's real-life wife) had returned from the dead, no longer entirely human. In the mythologically resonant climax Anna invites Sheridan back to the Shadow homeworld with no hope of survival. How does Sheridan react? How do you think? With another nod to Tolkien, Sheridan takes a leap into the unknown on an alien world comparable with Gandalf's fall into the abyss in his struggle with the Balrog in Khazad-Dum.
