About this product

Product Information

Belgian author Jeanne Van Hamme's graphic novel XIII comes to life on next-generation platforms as a first-person shooter featuring cel-shaded graphics and an engine based on Epic Games' award-winning Unreal technology. Playing the role of an ex-secret agent who has lost his memory, players must piece together the clues to his dark past before it's too late. The game follows a similar format to the graphic novel from which it is based, as much of the story is told through a series of flashbacks. Four-player support is available via split screen.

Comic book visuals, compelling story, interesting overall

Good game for the price. The Art style is very comic-book which makes this game unique in its presentation. While at the same time the story and what is going on in-game is very serious. This combination of compelling story and comic book graphics actually works surprisingly well. It is an interesting game and I cannot wait to play more of it.

  • Conspiracy Thriller Comic Turned Into a Video Game! A++

Reviewed for Big Boss Games by: LEG If you’ve read any of my other reviews, you will know that I’m a huge fan of First Person Shooter type games or FPS. That being the fact, I’ve played many dozens of FPS type games on various platforms. In order for an FPS type game to get a perfect score, it has to excel on numerous fronts. It needs to have decent graphics, tons of different weapons, numerous unique and non-repetitive levels, smart enemy A.I. and a decent amount of game playability. Well folks, XIII or Thirteen is such a game. Imagine taking a spy thriller type comic book and turning it into a video game. That’s exactly what the programmers at Ubisoft have created. Don’t be put off by the “comic” looking graphics. Doing so will cause you to miss a really awesome game. I know, because ...

  • A VERY good game

    1. The graphics look fancy and nice. Unlike so common 3D games, this one has originality in it. Very impressive graphics! 2. Deep story full of suspence! It took me with itself until the last moments. Please DO NOT read the story on internet sites as it WILL spoil your fun. 3. Very good value. This game can be baught very cheap on ebay. I bought it for less than $8 including shipping. I've already spent hours and hours playing it, and now that I have finished it I plan to play it again, this time in hard settings. This was a very good game, and I strongly recommend it.

  • XIII is an amazing game. Ahead of its time.

The storytelling in this game in incredible. It's as if you are actually playing a bit part in a movie. The change of locations, and the scenarios placed ahead of the main protagonist are hands down the best I've ever seen in a video game. And I've played many new games out for the new systems.
