Based loosely on the DreamWorks computer-animated film, Over the Hedge blends movie moments with new adventures, offering fans the chance to play as RJ the Raccoon, Verne the Turtle, Hammy the Squirrel, or Stella the Skunk. A suburban neighborhood sets the scene, wherein single and co-op mode players will guide the furry foursome through more than 30 mission-filled levels, including locations not seen in the film such as the Exterminator's Lab, the Sewers, and the Wild Western Theme Park.<br> <br>During play, gamers can instantly switch between characters to utilize their special skills -- RJ's "Golf Ball Barrage," Verne's "Spinning Shell Attack," Hammy's "Hammy Time," and Stella's (what else) "Stink Attack" -- as they attempt to free "captured" animals and steal food from humans. By unlocking and completing puzzles and mini-games such as "Golf Cart Derby," "RC Car Racing," and "Suburban Mini Golf," players earn energy-filled snacks or powered-up weapons, sure to have the virtual residents saying, "there goes the neighborhood."

    Over the Hedge Review - Nintendo Gamecube

    This is a great game for kids and adults that want to play games with their kids. One of the best things about this game is that it is two player co-op same screen which is main reason why I purchased to play with my 4-year old son. Basic stuff you do in this game is same stuff that goes on in movie (stealing food from humans, running away from that bear and that exterminator guy). Very realistic environments that are pictured with awesome graphics, this game is fun to play. Relatively easy to learn how to play and advance through the game. Overall I give this game an easy 8 out of 10 and recommend it to anyone who likes this movie or is looking for a good co-op or even single player game for their kids. (Especially for the price you can get it for now approx $20 or less)

    Fun game for younger gamers!!!

    Over the Hedge The game itself is fun, easy, and straightforward. It's definitely aimed towards younger audiences but can be fun for older players as well. Pros: - Real Actor Voice Overs - Very small learning curve - Graphics are decent - Go-Kart Mini Game is AWESOME!!! Cons: - Loses replay value pretty quickly (especially for older players) - Game might be too easy Final Verdict: 3/5 Rent or Buy?: If you have a young gamer this game will likely make you a hero in their eyes.     cute,fun,funny

    I love this over the hedge game. It is made by one of my favorite game companies , activision. It is based off of the movie. It has funny cutscenes . Nice animations , i love the combat how they swing left to right, and also there is a lot of unlockables such as the original over the hedge comic , cut scenes from the game also 3d stills of some of the characters . So its a great beat em up . It should be very enjoyable for everybody to play.
