Great watch but picture is decieving
The picture shows a blue ring around the face and hour markers as well as a triangle surrounding the date marker. This picture was taken under 5000K Northern daylight lighting. In fact under normal lighting conditions the blue areas are very close to black. Only on a bright sunny day will the blue come out. It would have been a much more attractive watch had Bulova used a different blue.

Truly precise
I have bought this watch so that it will be the master timer of my collection. The case, dail, are beautiful, and the sweep second smoother than most other sweep seconds on luxury brand watches. The bracelet is robust and the with the watch overall a bit of weight, but not a problem at all on a men's fist. Have used it in the sea , pool and hot water. Its watertight.

Bulova Precisionist Champlain Stainless Steel Case and Bracelet a Winner
The Bulova Precisionist Champlain stainless steel case and bracelet is a very impressive and relatively hefty watch that fits my 7-1/2 inch wrist very nicely. The smooth sweep of the second hand, although driven by a quartz movement, is nearly mesmerizing and almost as smooth as the much pricier Seiko Spring Drive. That's because of the three tine tuning fork used at the heart of the movement sampling at over 266,000 times each second to provide one of the most accurate watches made (not counting digital quartz watches such as my solar atomic G-Shock that syncs with the atomic clock in Colorado Springs, CO) with an advertised accuracy of +/- 10 seconds per year (SPY) which I haven't personally verified. Although large for a wristwatch at a case diameter of 50 mm, and relatively bulky, it ... The Bulova Precisionist Champlain stainless steel case and bracelet is a very impressive and relatively hefty watch that fits my 7-1/2 inch wrist very nicely. I would recommend this particular model watch to anyone with a large wrist who would like an uber accurate timepiece that definitely is a man's watch, one that is sporty yet can be worn all occasions.

the watch is pretty and it runs great. the size is too large for my liking and very heavy. It is the present style and the reliability cannot be questioned. this is my eighth bulova.
