The book came exactly as the photos were shown. On top of that the seller was nice to offer a discount, and I happily purchased that book. The book arrived quickly in three days and it was nicely packaged and nicely wrapped to ensure it arrived without the dings of shipping. This out of print book was a terrific find, and a good seller too.

  • The last of the FREDDY books

I've heard that some folks think this is one of the weaker title in the series. After all, Brooks had been writing about the adventures of Freddy and his buddies for a good many years, through 27 books (I'm not including THE COLLECTED POEMS OF FREDDY THE PIG, just the prose works). Personally, although the is indeed not one of the most compelling titles in the series, I wouldn't call it weak. I like all of the books, although the one before this, FREDDY AND THE FLYING SAUCER PLANS, seems a bit formulaic. My favorite of all is FREDDY THE MAGICIAN, which really is funny as all get-out. Anyway, for the Freddy fan, FREDDY AND THE DRAGON is a worthy read, maybe all the more so because it's the last book Walter Brooks completed before his death. So yes -- get it, read it, and cherish the time ...
