But as it turns out, Elle isn't a mistress, but something used to describe an event so cataclysmic that it could destroy the planet...<BR>When it is discovered that an enormous comet is on a collision course with Earth, a handful of Americans make different preparations for the end of the world. While Leo Biederman (played by Elijah Wood), the fourteen-year-old amateur astronomer who discovered the comet, deals with the pangs of first love, an ambitious newswoman (played by Tea Leoni) attempts to reconcile with her estranged parents. A former astronaut (played by Robert Duvall) finds himself in the stars once again in an attempt to prevent the catastrophe from occurring.     Deep impact special edition dvd

    Deep impact is a classic action adventure film.I was very pleased to purchase this perticular film,the story is not complicated,its an easy to watch film a great one to add to a film collection.to me deep impact is on par with The day after tommorow,Independance day.

    Deep Impact Review

    I always found this movie to be brilliant, both with the storyline and the amazing special effects. The special extra features, including some stills of the 'Ele' meteorite hitting the Earth were fabulous and the others special features were equally impressive and made me appreciate how hard this movie was to create for the people who made it. If you like a thriller/sci-fi genre movie then I strongly recommend you look for this DVD on eBay. 5 Stars *****

    Good buy.

    Good visual quality as the film is packed with special effects. The film is also a look at how prepared we are, if an event like this were to happen in the future. Good story, as it makes you wonder what you would do in a similar situation.
