Took two goes but we got there. Tip for using them: bend the prong up at bout 60 degrees, not quite vertical, add a bait of some substance, a bit of meat or similar impaled on the prong. It means the mouse has to tug on the bait and will set off the trap. Crumbly cake or similar won't cut it.

I had a black cat called Sooty. This isn't a pussy joke, it's a true story. Anyway, I had a mouse problem. I locked one in the bathroom with me & the cat. The mouse ran under the cat to hide. The cat left it alone. Anyway. I caught the mouse with a t-shirt and put it in a wheelie bin so it would get a new life at the tip. I let Sooty decide its fate. It's going to be a different story now. I also had a "rat in my kitchen, what am I gonna do scenario". I went to find something but it had gone.

    Simple, effective and humane

Simple and effective traps to deal with rodent infestation. Humane and easy to use. I tried other ways of dealing with rodents, but they are cruel. Pity to have to destroy apparently harmless creatures, but the infections they carry compel the use of traps. John.

  • Most critical review

    Mixed results

Initially worked well with a good catch ratio quickly catching 4 mice in the shed, but guess now its just the clever/fast reaction mice left and they keep taking the bait without setting off the trap or being caught when it goes off. Reading the reviews I am now trying glueing the bait down and will try the other suggestions/modifications to try and get the rest of them...

  • The elusive mouse trap.

We were delighted with the appearance of the mousetraps and the mice like them better because they can remove the bait without getting caught. The spring is strong and we thought we would be catching mice with every trap set. Our older traps seem to be more efficient. Sorry we have to complain as we thought we were on to a winner as they look great. You may have some suggestions.

  • I'd have more chance to catch a mouse with a chopstick while blindfolded

I thought a mouse trap is mouse trap. Can't be useless. Well this particular one at least what I received wouldn't even triggered if an elephant stood on it. Those little tw@ts in my loft just took the bait of the trap and they got away. I would not recommend this product. Wish I kept it so I could send it back. I will go for the "branded" one next time.

  • Worst mouse trap ever

I bought four of these, put rolo chocolate fragments on the trigger plate. Carefully set each of these right at the end of the long wire .... In the morning examined and found every single fragment of chocolate was gone and none had triggered I wished I’d just gone for the original “Little nippers” I KNOW they work - these cheap ones are just rubbish
