Around the Multiverse.
Tom Holt has a unique view of the multiverse. His books involve "normal" people in utterly bizarre situations, reacting as most of us would do. There is an element of science (intentional pun!), but it is a part of the humour in the stories; such as the VVLHC - very, very large hadron collider. As this is the second in a small series (four so far) I thought I knew what to expect; this is always a mistake with Tom Holt as he constantly surprises the reader.
