  • Longitude how clocks made long voyages safer.

I had not realised there were two versions of Longitude, I thought there was only an illustrated version so was a little miffed. Still a good book. I am always awed by the old time mariners and how often they missed landfall although it often passed within sight or even hit land where it was not expected. An amazing story, which needs to be followed by the next book, Sextant.

  • Longitude HArdback

This hardback version does not include photo pages that I had in a softback version, which was a great admission.
