About this product

Product Information

Blaze across the tarmac and establish your street racing crew as the dominant presence in Palmont City. Need for Speed: Carbon, which is developed and published by Electronic Arts for Xbox 360, begins where NFS: Most Wanted ended. You’re still on the run, and you’ll survive the only way you know how: build faster cars, and race them for pink slips and cash. The Need for Speed: Carbon game release date was October 2006. This one has a single-player mode, a multiplayer mode, and a local co-op mode that supports two players. This Xbox 360 game works with the standard Xbox controller, the wheel controller, and some racing wheels. It’s also available in both a standard Xbox and a collector’s edition. That special edition has some exclusive bonus content, including vehicles, races, accessories, and events. Need for Speed: Carbon for the Xbox 360 features an open world. Many racing games have a set order to the events you participate in. In Need for Speed, you travel around the world at breakneck speeds and can choose from the various activities you encounter. Some events do require a certain prestige level before unlocking. There are also rivals and other story points to progress through. These games are all about the most wanted cars, and this version is no exception. There are nearly 100 unique vehicles with accessories to purchase and win, and they’re all real-world cars. Vehicles are organized into three performance tiers and three car classes. The three performance tiers are low, moderate, and high. The three classes are exotic, muscle, and tuners. The exotic class features cars with high speeds. The muscle class delivers great overall acceleration. The tuner class provides outstanding handling characteristics.Car customization is an important aspect of these games as well, and Need for Speed: Carbon gives you many options to choose from. In Autosculpt mode, you can purchase and install aftermarket parts. You can also shape and mold those parts to your liking. You’re able to paint your car as well as apply customizable vinyls that can be quite elaborate. Vinyls can be moved, skewed, resized, and more. You can also tune vehicles to your liking and particular race conditions. The main mode of Need for Speed: Carbon is Career Mode. You start with just a 2002 BMW M3 GTR. The game then challenges you to earn money and build and tune better vehicles. This lets you work your way through three main boss rivals: Kenji, Angie, and Wolf. Kenji controls the Downtown area. Angie controls Kempton. Wolf controls Fortuna.Carbon wouldn’t be a Need for Speed game without pursuits. As you play throughout the open game world, you’ll have to be on the lookout for cops. Drive at too fast a speed or make a wrong move and a pursuit will start. Police are also featured in some events. The longer a pursuit goes, the higher the heat level. Escaping high heat provides great rewards and is perhaps the essence of these video games.

Seller sent me an offer, I accepted, I paid, They marked it as shipped, it never arrived. I had to get a refund through ebay. Sad. I live right around the corner from this seller and was looking forward to doing a lot of business with them. Pretty sure they sent the same offer to multiple people and took everyone's money.

    Great Game

The game was short but it felt like I was really in the game fighting over territories and how it's like a part 2 of need for speed most wanted.I think the game is cheap and really worth it.

    Started great, then it froze!

The disc was a little scratched.....no big deal. About 20 mins into the game, it froze and had lines going through the picture. I'm praying I can have it resurfaced due to already buying it once.

  • Great Game

Praise: The graphics are great.....again. I thought that the gameplay is similar Most Wanted, which is phenominal. It is a very fun racing game with a storyline as well as additional challenges. Added features in this game include the new "autosculpt" feature which gives you endless possibilities to the customization of your car. Criticism: As a big fan of Need for Speed Most wanted, and unfortunately I don't think that the story line of the new game was quite as interesting or gripping as the last. The Grand Theft auto (san andreas) theme of controlling gang territory was used, and during gameplay stopping what you're doing to "defend your territory" seems tedious. The sound effects also get kindof annoying, truthfully. The tires screech at every ...

  • EA's Next-Gen NFS Sequel is a fun Arcade Race Game

This game is exactly what you would expect from the EA Need For Speed series, which is both good and bad. If you're looking for a racing sim then get Project Gotham or Test Drive Unlimited to hold you over until Forza comes out. If you are looking for a fun, pretty and generally entertaining arcade racer for your 360 then this is your game. The story is a sequel to Need For Speed Most Wanted with a plot line that my eight year old son could figure out in about 30 seconds, but nobody plays these games for the story. The action is fast and fun and seems to be right on par with NFS Most Wanted. Just like in that game you have to claw your way up through the local network of street racers and the bosses. This time around they got rid of the drag races from the last game and have ...

  • Need for Speed Carbon (Xbox 360)

I found this to be a good game. What I liked about this game is it has a lot of options on what you can do in the game such as customizing your cars with cool looking vinyl’s, adding new parts to your cars to increase your performance, also many different choices of cars. You get three different choices of what kind of cars you want to start out with Tuner, Exotic, and Muscle. Tuner is mainly good for drift races but it is also good for almost all races depending what your car is customized with. Muscle is good for checkpoint races and sprints. Exotic is good for a lot of races but, I consider it mainly a showcase car. The story mode is fairly long and very interesting. This would be a good game for racing fans that enjoy many different types of races. Overall I would rate this game an 8 ...
