Product Information

Draglade is a unique mix of rhythm-based fighting and music that stresses timing over brute strength. The game takes place in a world where scientists have learned how to turn matter into pure energy, and a martial art called Grapping has become a huge spectator sport. The new energy can be converted into a weapon called a Glade, which emits a sound whenever it hits something. The music produced when two Glades clash is the driving force behind Grapping's popularity, and gamers guide four young Grappers who have been pulled in by the sport. Each character has a number of unique abilities, weapons, and fighting techniques, and players can mix and match characteristics to create their own special avatar. Gamers can go through a single-player mode, or use the DS's online capabilities to go head-to-head against players across the country.

Excellent game.
The game is a fantastic fighting game with an older style put to it. It has it's own unique charm and style of game play. Lot's of fun character's to play as in versus, though only 4 characters with story lines. The story line has an option of choosing a path later on, making it only really 2 story lines, as the characters all have the same choices, just start out in a different place. I like the battling system, it's unique to say the least. You have your traditional fighter with whatever weapon, and element. Then you can add powers to them, through "bullets" which are mini-add ons. Though I would of liked to see some restriction, you can have your water character with all fireball skills, etc etc. ( I would've preferred this not even be an option, as it just looks silly ... Although the story is lacking (severely) (though who plays a fighting game for story line really?), it's game play is fun and addicting. With tons of combinations of bullets to choose from, and designing your own combo, it's customizable, but not too much where it would get out of hand. You get to chose powers, but only the powers themselves have "stats", I get extremely annoyed at games that make you create a completely custom character, and build them up, but if you get one stat wrong, your game is pretty much ruined. The only difference between powers are p m & f (piano mezzo and forte) deciding the strengths. Overall, I would say it's a great buy, and something you can come back to, but maybe not something that everyone would like, as it lacks story and extremely quick strategy (it plays a bit slower than most fighting games).

Draglade is the best fighting game on the DS!
I like this game because it's a fighting game and I love fighting games! Plus, it has great gameplay and graphic for the DS! Nintendo DS need more games like this to be publish. I decided to buy this game because I find the game to be reasonably cheap.. compare to Gamestop's.

My son loves this game! I wasn't able to find it in any stores, so ebay was the place to get it! He loves the graphics and the characters. Great game!
