The reason why I say that is because it was a challge to me. When I have to try and work at it. It was hard on some parts that I had to try over and over again, which made it more fun to finish the game. The secens were pretty good and the controll over the game was easy to use. The character were really cool to use and fight with! So thats how I feel about the game! :)
Of course, we bought this game because we're fans of the show. It is gorgeous to look at; the graphics are so good its just like watching it on tv, and very smooth. I do think they could let you start out with a few more characters and the story mode isn't exactly an epic saga, as is the case in many anime-based Shonen Jump games. I highly recommend it to anyone who likes Naruto or anyone who likes tournament fighting style games. On the scale of one to ten: 7.
I purchased this game because I'm a huge Naruto fan. It's a great game and everything, its just that there's no need for it now that Naruto: Clash of Ninja 2 is out. The only thing limiting this game from greatness is that is has a very limited number of characters and story mode is very short. All these things were fixed in the sequel including 4-player battles. So in short, don't bother with this game, just by the sequel, it might be a little more expensive, but definitely worth it! Again only buy if you must have EVERYTHING and can't live with owning the 2nd one, but not owning the first.
This game, though it follows up to the first season, is just so short. There are only 8 playable characters and it's all 1 vs 1. I unlocked everything in under 5 hours. Very little replay value and not worth the $40 initial price tag (as of now it's $20). On the plus side, the graphics are excellently cel shaded for a good anime feel. The controls are very easy to follow. So to sum it up, buy this game ONLY if you wish to collect the series of Naruto games. It's not really worth a rental or purchase otherwise.
