Immersive world
I have found GTA IV (4) to be an excellent game with outstanding graphics. One will need a good PC. I run 62% processor with an oldish Core 2 Quad, with 4GB DDR2 RAM and a 2GB GTX660 Graphics Card. The Graphics Card is essential in getting any of the good levels of graphics. Else it looks a bit like GTA3. My favourite in the GTA series (apart from GTA1) has to be IV. Note I have NOT had to download any large updates, although installation did take many many many hours. Note on the later GTA5 you will have to download a HUGE 60GB of updates you see! Microsoft Live also gets confused since this service no longer exists, so installation is also a bit unnecessary in parts. Do not buy if your computer has an integrated graphics card!
I bought this game for my husband's birthday. He likes playing GTA and has enjoyed all the editions prior to this one. All the previous GTA games have run on our computer, but for some inexplicable reason this one would not! We have a computer with an integrated graphics card and I understand this is the problem. However, as Rockstar Games have made all the other GTA titles to work on such a system before, I cannot understand why they have changed the format in this instance. I also feel they should make this clear in the product description as this is not the first time we have been caught out in this way. I would send the game back but my husband has decided to hold on to it in the hope that it will work on any computers we buy in the future.I bought this game for my husband's birthday. The Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 games shipped this past April, and with this one you'll find a few alterations and additions those who waited are sure to appreciate. potentially brilliant but suffers terribly from lag even on gaming pc
I have GTA 3, Vice City and San Andreas installed on my pc and working fine. I was keen to try GTA 4 because I love the entire series and liked the idea of the same feel as the older games but with improved graphics. Unfortunately despite having a custom built gaming pc the lag experienced when playing made this game impossible to enjoy. I searched online and found many people having the same problem. I tried all the fixes I could find and dropped all the settings to the lowest possible in an effort to correct the lag but nothing worked. Ihave uninstalled the games and feel a little bit cheated. Apparently the pc version was ported from the Xbox version but it wasn't done properly hence all the problems.Hopefully GTA 5 will operate without all the problems as I'm led to believe the pc ... Authentication no longer works
Spent nearly four hours trying to get past the authentication, sign up for everything, and followed all suggestions on Google. Gave up. Loved 3 and Vice city.
