Die in dieser Unterrichtsreihe zu erwerbenden sachlichen und methodischen Kompetenzen erschliessen sich aus dem Kernlehrplan Erdkunde fur das Gymnasium - Sekundarstufe I (G8) in Nordrhein-Westfalen . Die Inhalte der hier vorgestellten Reihe werden im Inhaltsfeld 5 Leben und Wirtschaften in verschiedenen Landschaftszonen , mit dem inhaltlichen Schwerpunkt naturgeographisches Wirkungsgefuge des tropischen Regenwaldes und daraus resultierende Moeglichkeiten und Schwierigkeiten wirtschaftlich angepassten Nutzens behandelt. Sie sind unter anderem eine Grundlage fur das Verstandnis weiterer Bausteine wie zum Beispiel dem Schwerpunkt Bedrohung von Lebensraumen durch unsachgemasse Eingriffe des Menschen in den Naturhaushalt aus dem Inhaltsfeld 4 Naturbedingte und anthropogen bedingte Gefahrdung von Lebensraumen . Im schuleigenen Curriculum, welches sehr eng an den Kernlehrplan angelegt ist, ist das dargestellte Unterrichtsthema fur die Jahrgangsstufe 7 ebenfalls als Unterrichtsvorhaben vorgesehen.
