Not often is a 're do' of a movie as good or even better than the original! This is CERTAINLY the case in this new Martin Clunes remake! Beautiful story line, amazing scenery & wonderful acting by Clunes who portrays Mr Chips from a young rooki teacher to an aging headmaster. Credit must also be given to the make up department for their incredible aging makeup! This movie will make you smile, laugh & cry, you will simply love it!Not often is a 're do' of a movie as good or even better than the original! This is CERTAINLY the case in this new Martin Clunes remake! martin clunes as you`ve never seen him.playing the loveable mr chips. this really is a well acted film with a good supporting cast,the film centres around mr chips whose arrival brings clashes of tradition with a new way of thinking by mr chips. i can honestly say martin clunes is superb throughout which is a testament to his acting repotoire.the film brings a smile and a tear as tragedy strikes.i will say no more but if you get the chance buy it.i was totally entertained by this heartwarming story.martin clunes as you`ve never seen him.playing the loveable mr chips. this really is a well acted film with a good supporting cast,the film centres around mr chips whose arrival brings clashes of tradition with a new way of thinking by mr chips. i can honestly say martin clunes is superb throughout which is a testament to his acting repotoire.the film brings a smile and a tear as tragedy strikes.i will say no more but if you get the chance buy it.i was totally entertained by this heartwarming story.
