A fitting conclusion to my favorite series of all time. A sad, emotional ending to a game that claimed many hours of my life. May be behind ME2 in terms of the total package but still a good game in it's own right. I love you Jack.

I was hooked on Mass 2. I enjoyed the visit on all the planets and when I found activity to solve and play. Mass 3 is this relentless shoot out that never ends. It seems that is more of a shooter then hunt and solve game. Just my opinion. I'm 62 and don't care for big creatures that you have to have endless ammo to kill. This game may get dusty on my shelf

Mass Effect 3 is a great game all around. It is technically an RPG so you choose a character class and level them up throughout the game. However, if you do not like that, there is now an option to just play the game like a shooter, making it even more versatile. There are multiple classes to choose from each with their own benefits and skills. You do not need to play the first two previous games to understand this one, i didn't play them and i was fine. It may be a little confusing at first, but it's completely doable. The enormous galaxy is impressive as you know the creators took their time to create it. All the different species and worlds, each with their own background and history makes this game come alive. The main point of the game is to raise an army to take back earth from the Reapers, (basically the bad guys). The main story will take care of gathering the main armies and alliances you need. However, the choices you make throughout the game matter, and i say pick wisely. There is a percentage to let you know your readiness to fight. It goes up with each new person or army you get on your side. This is a cool way to do things, the downside? To have a high readiness rating, you have to play multiplayer. It's a shame the game forces you to do this to get a better ending, but multiplayer is fairly fun in itself so it's not all bad. If not a little redundant. Then again, even though there are technically a number of endings, the difference between them is rather small that you get one, and you are't missing out on the others. The story itself is great and i found myself spending hours to walk around and communicate with my comrades. You also have the ability to make your character either a Paragon or a Renegade. This changes how characters view him and the responses he says. It's another factor that adds to this game, choosing basically whether you're a kind and gentle command everyone loves. Or a cruel and strict commander that everyone fears. This game is incredibly fun. The different classes and the improved combat system is wonderful. It's more smooth and effective than before. Some parts of the game are boring and repetitive like the planet scanning. Also, the loading times are annoying, i have to admit, but you can see passed them. The main story immersion of trying to save earth is incredibly rewarding. Any level that has a giant alien Reaper ship shooting at you kicks the intensity up a notch. I'm already on my third play through with a new character. The replay-ability factor is huge in this game. Making it worth the money all the more. I really suggest you buy this game.Read full review
Mass Effect 3 is a remarkably satisfying conclusion to a beloved trilogy, and a poignant and memorable role-playing action game in its own right. Fantastic, moving story that balances plot and character Past and present choices impact the game in wonderful and unexpected ways Much-improved level design leads to challenging, exciting battles Fantastic art design makes great use of color and composition Top-notch voice acting brings every major character to life. The multiplayer's overall structure is more interesting than the action. You choose from one of six classes and level them separately, and earn credits as you play. You use these credits to unlock packs that contain a number of random items--special ammo, a weapon mod, an on-the-spot ammo refill, and so on. (You can also spend real money on them if you are so inclined.) Because so many of these items are expendable, and because the flow of rewards is slow but steady, you might be drawn to stick with Mass Effect 3's multiplayer even after you've reaped its single-player benefit.Read full review
To be honest I played this straight through with a total of 6,800 military strength. ( 7,000) is max. I went 100% paragon and I took the neutral ending which I think is the best. The game was the same as the first 2 but it felt like it lacked some exploration. In the first game you could spend weeks checking out planets. In this one the reapers are everywhere so almost no exploration. I gave it 4 stars because of it being a little disappointing. I don't think I'll play it through a second or third time like I did the first 2 games. Bonus! your character can be imported from the first 2 games and you can keep leveling up.
I got into ME2 from a friend and loved it so much I bought my own then I finished it and wanted to play 3, I heard about notorious ending so of course I downloaded the directors cut DLC, I loved how they upped the graphics and character designs of everyone including you're Commander Shepherd also gameplay was good, they only things that annoyed where new omnitool melee which felt like forever just to hit someone with a heavy hit also the fact that weapons have weight and there were no heavy weapons like a rocket launcher but overall I love the series and had a fun time playing 3 which I started over on Insanity also I think the DLC's are worth the extra money if you're want more character interaction and story.
I bought this game because it showed the real life consequences of making good and bad choices. It's the ultimate lesson in karma, but you can play the game however you want. I find myself making "renegade" and "paragon" choices in my everyday life and realizing that the best way to live life is by being mostly good, with a little bit of evil dashed in there. Even the evil is done with good intentions though. All that in a video game. You have to play the others in the series to have the biggest "mass effect" and really see how your actions affect the world, but this is a life experience not to be missed. This isn't just a video game, it's an artful critique on the way we live our lives.
After playing the 2nd Mass Effect, I was a bit leary about buying the 3rd with all of the criticism floating around. However, my love for Mass Effect was too great to pass up the latest installment. I'm so glad I didn't, this game was AMAZING. Maybe, just maybe, my most favorite game and series out there. Did you happen to catch that Mass Effect 3 won best RPG at the 2012 Spike TV Video Game Awards? It earned it. The characters are insanely intriguing and have depth as well as the story. It's almost shameful how involved you become with said characters and this game. The gaming interface was awesome. I loved how BioWare was able to mix up the game play to make you feel like you truly were living as Commander Shepherd. Not only are you strategizing and making tactical maneuvers on the field to overcome an enemy, but you're also making weighty decisions that follow you the rest of the game. I highly, highly recommend this game. A few tech tips that might come in handy. The disc automatically asks to download patches and DLC. I found that this ultimately kept me from starting my game. The start up screen would continuously "check for downloadable content" and never finish. I was able to skirt around this dilemma by deleting this DLC and Patches file from my PS3. I did download the Extended Cut and it ran with that with no problem. Thanks for reading!Read full review
This is a very good game. Top of the line. It is what you would expect from EA. There are a few things that annoy me but they are largely minor and dont effect gameplay. When people bash on the ending, dont listen to them. .(No Spoilers) They are only mad because of your lack of choices at the end. Multiplayer is excellent. Very team oriented. Can get repetitve at times. If so, increase the difficulty. 10/10 Good buy overall. You will be pleased.
Definitely a great game no complaints from me and for the person that sold it their a great dealer and got it here in great timing
