Square Enix's action-oriented extension of the long-running Final Fantasy series continues in Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles, as players once again explore a strange world in which mysterious crystals protect inhabitants from a shroud of poisonous gas. Gamers can choose from four races and two genders as they create their unique protagonist, a character who returns from a 16th-birthday ceremony to discover a fellow villager under the grips of "crystal sickness." The story then takes players on a Legend of Zelda-esque adventure full of overworld exploration, puzzle-filled dungeon crawling, side quests, and real-time battles. The ultimate goal is to track down a cure for the mysterious illness by completing specific tasks and battling monsters to procure special items. Echoes of Time also includes a multiplayer component that lets up to four gamers band together in more than 60 quests and mini-games.

Decent Online, "OK" By Yourself
this is definitely a game that is alot better to play with friends that without. You can play with random people over the internet but you will find that lag becomes quite an annoying issue. When i played with my 2 friends i noticed little lag in the game. Anyways here is a rough overview of how the game works. its a pretty simple hack and slash sort of game, no complex combos to do or dual buttons to be pressed for special moves...basically spam the attack button or use your magic, which is, in my opinion not set up well. to use your magic you press the c button which brings up a targeting crosshair which you mosey on over to the enemy you want to cast it on, which in turn leaves you open for attacks, but still is manageable just be back from the enemy a ways. Now the storyline is decent, ... this is definitely a game that is alot better to play with friends that without. Now the storyline is decent, i won't get into, if you want to know the story just look up a faq for it. there are quite alot of tedious puzzles in this that you will prob. get tired of really quick. that is why i recommend playing with friends because this speeds up puzzle solving and execution by a vast amount. you can play by yourself and use bots as allies but you will soon notice that they seem to have little brain and get in the way more than help, such as moving objects out of the way you placed for a switch and what not. but i dont want to sound like im bashing the game because i did find it enjoyable for me and a couple of my friends to play. I am only going to play through the story once, as it is not really a game you would replay alot, though after u beat the game you can fight the bosses again that you faced in the game which i find fun to do with friends. all in all id say the game is pretty average. they definitely could have put alot more time in this to make it much more of a smooth experience. oh, i almost forgot the worse part of the game, once you get used to this its not so bad, but when you 1st turn this game on WTF is going to come to mind, at least it did for my friends and I. being that this is also a Nintendo DS game and they have 2 screens, you also have 2 screens to work with. they are placed in the center of your screen side by side and you can control the size of them to an extent, such as having one really small and the other larger to see better. they limit you to the max size of one screen to where i would say they leave about 30% of ur screen above and below the screen that is just basically blank space. if they implemented a screen in screen feature where once screen would take up the whole tv and the other would be a small box in the corner this would be soo much better. but i leave you with this, this can be a simple yet addicting game for you and your friends to play or it can be annoying and frustrating if you have little patience.

The game was a recomendation from a friend, who had played an earlier version of the game on Playstation 2. I was disappointed in the fact that the picture (game screen) is much, much smaller than my t.v.-the words on the screen are so small, they are illegible. Therefore following instruction, 'buying' items, etc. is impossible, making the game pretty much un-playable. As for the game itself, all seems to be in working order. Good RPG, just with lower standards
This is actually a Nintendo DS game that was ported to the Nintendo Wii and placed on a disc here. While the hack and slash RPG nature is great, its quite simple and streamlined for a Final Fantasy game. You have to understand though... withought this game, there is no way to play Echoes of Time on any type of large home screen or on a home console. It was strictly a Nintendo DS game that never got a Wii Ware or Virtual port, so its either this Wii Game Disc or you play it on a handheld and live with it.This is actually a Nintendo DS game that was ported to the Nintendo Wii and placed on a disc here. A Good Final Fantasy Chronicles Game for RPG Fans
This game is unlike the major final fantasy games such as Final Fantasy VII,VIII,X,XI..etc. This game follows the Chronicles series. The gamplay is easy to understand and can be very fun. The screen positioning is kinda anoying, and is not recommended for a small television. Overall the game takes some time getting adjusted to, but overall is very fun. This is a great game for any RPG fan.

NOT really a Wii game
Well, I am a big fan of the main FF series. A minor fan of the FF:CC... SO I tend not to pay too much attention to the news and reviews of the CC side of things... big mistake here. I had NO idea that this game, while on the Wii format, was NOT a Wii game. Its a weird BS version of a nintendo DS game released on Wii. It has crap graphics, a soso story, and worse of ALL this very strange 2 box view on screen that CANT BE TURNED OFF. I didnt much enjoy it.Well, I am a big fan of the main FF series.
