Not as good as it could be
This is a good product but it has flaws. Firstly it works as described and is simple to wire up, but the quality is poor. The adjustment for lux, sensitivity and dusk/daylight setting is difficult to get right and takes a lot of trial and error. Take your time and it comes together....eventually. More important, the seal around the lamp housing is pretty much useless . When the housing is screwed shut there was daylight shining through the corner of my lamp due to poor manufacturing. Silicone is a wonderful product but replacing the lamp will be a problem in future. Hopefully the unit is now waterproof. At least it was cheap, but next time I might spend a bit more money for a lamp with ip66 waterproofing.This is a good product but it has flaws. Unable to recommend this product.
Installed the light but it didn't function correctly from day one. Tried various suggestions from other users but still not working. Spent so much time trying to solve the problem so decided to purchase a more reliable light. Very disappointing purchase so cannot recommend.

Replacement for LED lamp.
I bought this Halogen light to replace a 45 LED security light, which was...well, DIM! This old style light is vastly superior. The 400w Halogen C Class tube supplied is fine...seems as good as a 500w. I have has this type of light before and they do the biz.

ITS OK IF YOU WANT A CHEAP FIX,BUT THE FLMSY WATER TIGHT SEAL DOES NOT SEM TO WORK,ESPECIALY IF IT COMES OUT WHEN THE LIGHT IS BEING INSTALLED. YOU CANT PUT THE SEAL BACK PROPERLY. I WOULD NOW PREFER TO PAY A BIT MORE FOR A MORE ROBUST PRODUCT.
