Good Material, But not for beginners
This is a very good in-depth look at exercises in Slap Bass. Firstly, its not for beginners, this is for people that know how to slap and pop and know there way about the fretboard. So heres some not so positives: - Methods of slapping and popping, the "how to" - a lot of the exercises are for a 5-string bass (I have one) - Scale patterns up and down the neck Here are the positives: - The exercises are really good, the range from stuff a beginner (that knows how to slap) to quite advanced - You will learn a lot more of the seven modes of the major scale (Ionian, Dorian, Phrygian etc. as well as blues and melodic, - The CD that comes with is good for a play along to Overall.... I like it, I use it 2 or 3 times a week to practice mode scales while slapping and its good for exercises. But ... This is a very good in-depth look at exercises in Slap Bass.
