About this product
Product Information
Private mental health practice is a vibrant and financially rewarding profession. And yet many who consider pursuing this path are misled by falsehoods that can result in costly mistakes - or avoidance of this fulfilling and worthwhile career. There is no need to market my practice, clients will find me. I learned everything I need to know about private practice in graduate school. I don't need an attorney or a CPA. Self-care is for students. But there is, you didn't, you do, and no, it most certainly is not. In If You Build It They Will Come, Jeffrey Barnett and Jeffrey Zimmerman dismantle common misconceptions relating to the preparation, management, and ethics of entering and running a successful private practice in the mental health professions. In addition to sharing accurate information to refute each myth , the authors provide vital information on how to be successful in private practice, identifying common pitfalls and challenges and offering specific and practical strategies to address and move beyond the myth. Chapters conclude with recommended resources and readings. Blending decades of clinical experience with practical no-nonsense advice about running a practice, If You Build It They Will Come helps fill the gaps in practice development training. Trainees and recent graduates in clinical psychology, social work, and counseling will benefit from this book's personal, candid, and optimistic approach.

- s***s (2970)- Feedback left by buyer.Past 6 monthsVerified purchaseCondition excellent, as described, well packaged, dispatched promptly.Excellent communication from seller. Arrived ahead of anticipated delivery dates. ARRIVED 1st May, expectected between 24th May and 3rd June. Thank you. No import tax payable. A very pleasing experience. Would recommend this seller. A book l have been seeking to replace for 7 years after it got misplaced when moving house after bereavement.
- a***l (338)- Feedback left by buyer.Past monthVerified purchaseAlthough the description details were misleading, the customer support was rather good. I ordered the 2-volume set of ‘Atlas Shrugged’, but received a single volume. It might not seem like much to others, but it’s a large book and a 2-set volume would have made it easier to read. In addition, poor packaging damaged the DJ. Anyways, after sending firm, yet precise and polite emails, the situation was promptly resolved, hence the positive feedback; and, why I would buy again from the seller. 👍
- c***r (537)- Feedback left by buyer.Past 6 monthsVerified purchaseBook as specified, rapid delivery (from USA to UK), and a reasonable price for the book. Overall, my book arrived in "ok quality" packaging. A padded "book mailer" envelope was used. However, inside, there was no other protective packaging. One small point of constructive feedback: perhaps cardboard packaging could have been implemented, as a number of competing book sellers are now implementing cardboard packaging, especially for higher price books subject to international delivery.
