About this product
Product Information
Lonergan has been regarded as a peerless interpreter of Thomas; no one has therefore questioned the adequacy of his Thomistic interpretations in his doctoral work on operative grace in Thomas. In this work, the author breaks new ground in questioning the accuracy of Lonergan's interpretations. Contents: Introduction. PART I: Thomas' Early Work; Thomas' Theory of the Human Will; A Text From the Early Thomas (Sentences). PART II: Thomas of the Middle Period (^BDe Veritae). PART III: Thomas in the Late Period. (Summa, De Malo). PART IV: Lonergan's Interpretation of Thomas; The Context of the Article; Internal Criticism; Argument from Silence; Doctrinal Implications. PART V: Lonergan and Justification; Luther's Teaching on Free Will; Calvin on Free Will; The Council of Trent and Human Freedom; Lonergan on Justification and Free Will; Conclusion. PART VI: The Investigation Widened; The First Influence; The Second Influence; The Fourth Influence: Activity and Passivity of the Will; Conclusion.

- s***s (2970)- Feedback left by buyer.Past 6 monthsVerified purchaseCondition excellent, as described, well packaged, dispatched promptly.Excellent communication from seller. Arrived ahead of anticipated delivery dates. ARRIVED 1st May, expectected between 24th May and 3rd June. Thank you. No import tax payable. A very pleasing experience. Would recommend this seller. A book l have been seeking to replace for 7 years after it got misplaced when moving house after bereavement.
- a***l (338)- Feedback left by buyer.Past monthVerified purchaseAlthough the description details were misleading, the customer support was rather good. I ordered the 2-volume set of ‘Atlas Shrugged’, but received a single volume. It might not seem like much to others, but it’s a large book and a 2-set volume would have made it easier to read. In addition, poor packaging damaged the DJ. Anyways, after sending firm, yet precise and polite emails, the situation was promptly resolved, hence the positive feedback; and, why I would buy again from the seller. 👍
- c***r (537)- Feedback left by buyer.Past 6 monthsVerified purchaseBook as specified, rapid delivery (from USA to UK), and a reasonable price for the book. Overall, my book arrived in "ok quality" packaging. A padded "book mailer" envelope was used. However, inside, there was no other protective packaging. One small point of constructive feedback: perhaps cardboard packaging could have been implemented, as a number of competing book sellers are now implementing cardboard packaging, especially for higher price books subject to international delivery.
