To their credit the seller does offer free returns but this issue should've been mentioned in the listing and been reflected in the price. Since it is a vintage item and any other likely has the same problem I chose to keep the hat and scrape the old foam out. I contacted the seller and they did not offer any discount to make up for the condition issues.

I basically received a light weight wood box with a stickered pattern that said it was a laquered wood inlay. If they was legit inlay this would be way heavier. This tiny, cheap box goes in the garbage, along with my $12 something. I wouldn't trust this seller again.
