About this product

    Product Information

The Demon Tower, which holds priceless monster eggs, had lured treasure hunters to it for years. The hunters longed to capture each and every one of the eggs, for they would bring them wealth, fame, and even power. Each egg holds a different monster. Once a monster hatches out of its egg, it needs to be trained, raised, eventually sold, or it can be used to fight beside the treasure hunter. These eggs weren't obtainable without a struggle, of course. Hunters had to fight numerous monsters in the Demon Tower, avoid traps and other mystical spells. Guy was the first to fight his way to the top, but he hasn't been seen since. His only son just turned fifteen, and he longs to search for his father and become a highly successful treasure hunter and monster tamer. You are his son.

Developed by Konami, Azure Dreams is no ordinary RPG. You will have to search for the eggs at the Demon Tower. Not only will you be able to sell them, but you'll also be able to raise and train monsters to fight for you. You'll also have to help out the town of Monsbaiya (a town built next to the tower) from time to time by building an additional building or finding new residents to live there. Oh, and you'll never play the same game twice--this game features a random map generator for the Demon Tower. With a nonlinear storyline and management menus, Azure Dreams is truly a unique gaming experience.

The book arrived in great condition, just as described in the detailed listing for the item. Clean pages, no damage, and well-packaged for international shipping. Considering the quality/rarity of the book and the fact that it came all the way from Japan, the value was definitely worth it. The appearance of the book exceeded my expectations, with the vibrant cover art and crisp pages practically in mint condition. Overall, a fantastic buying experience. Highly recommend this seller!

      A classic

A game from my childhood. I was never able to do anything with it when I was younger. I tried and tried and tried. Never could do much but I was desperate to get to play it for real. Now I'm older and I can get passed the first level and I'm loving it so far. Definitely a game to play.

    • Great enjoyable game

Loved this game when we first got it years ago but lost our copy of the game. Evidently this game wasn't played widely in the US and although the graphics are "old school" it is great fun. It essentially combines town building with adventuring and extra little mini games mixed in. This game came out before the Pokemon craze so it has some similar elements with using monsters to fight but the monsters you get to use are based on the eggs you find in your adventure. The biggest challenge is starting the adventure from level 1 each time and building up to the higher levels before heading back to your house. Hours of interesting game play :-)

    • classic

classic and unique for an older game, I enjoy it I have not played it much but I like it so far I am an avid rpg fan and this fits the bill. I have seen other reviewers call it repetitive but if you play it as to what it is and not expecting a modern depthy type game it is fine, this is the best I can describe for content value

    • Don let graphics turn you off from amazing games people!!!!

Konami put together such a masterful game for a first gen system. So much adjustability, the story is simple and to the point. The characters are quite well animated for ps1 and theyre fun and quirky. The graphics are what youd expect for ps1 but shouldnt be a cop-out to trash the game for young heads hey, it was ps1.
