    Nice little student glockenspiel

    This is a very nice xylophone/glockenspiel for the price. It plays in tune, and has a pretty tone. I would recommend using this with music classes/lessons for children ages 4-12, and maybe even teens who want a basic introduction to music. I also recommend it just for fun, for any versatile musician who wants to add a nice, inexpensive little instrument to their collection. The fact that the low note is G gives it a good range for playing in the key of C, where you can go down below the tonic, as so many folk songs do. And, of course, being a chromatic instrument, you can play in any key, within a limited range. One complaint - it comes with crappy mallets. If you want to play well, you'll probably want to get better mallets, which will probably need to be smaller than the ones you would ...

    Great Instrument for Learning to Play the Glockenspeil.

    So easy to play when labeled with included labels. My 8-year-old niece loves it as does her 10-year-old brother. Within 30 minutes, she was playing songs by using numbers. It is a nice step up from a toy xylophone. The blue case is an attractive color too.

    My daughter loves it!!

    This was a Christmas gift for my 10yr old daughter. I was having a hard time thinking of gifts for her this year. She's been learning to play the xylophone in music class at school and thought maybe she'd like to have her own at home. I did a lot of research and went on a lot of websites to find something appropriate. I originally found it on Amazon at a much higher price, so when I saw it here for $19.99, I immediately ordered it! Turned out to be her most favorite gift, she couldn't wait to play it! It is the same size as the one she learns on at school and it sounds great! It's nice for me too, because now instead of her telling me what song she played in class, she is able to play it for me at home!!

    Not a Lyons brand

    This is a cheap toy. It’s fun for the kids but not a Lyons brand product. If your looking for a quality grade musical instrument I do not recommend this.
