    TP-Link HS110 review

    I have two of these devices, one is the HS100 and the other is the HS110. The difference is that the 100 does not show power consumption of any connected devices in kWh, where the 110 does show this. Each therefore has its own user case and you should select the one you want based on if you need to see power consumption specifically. The device is no better or worse in terms of design and looks than any other plug in device of a similar purpose. Both devices can handle a maximum of 13amp switching, and I use one of my devices to switch the charger on for an electric car, which draws a 10amp continuous load. The load remains constant at 10 amps for around 4 hours, so is a good indication that the device has a constant rating and will handle heavy loads. The 100 is much cheaper than the 110 ...

    Works well enough with Klipper on a 3D Printer

    The app for setting it up could let you have a little more control; as if you haven't got everything exactly right, it takes several minutes to timeout. There's no option to cancel and retry, so you're left with forcibly terminating the app and trying again. Part of the problems with setup are due to Android security restrictions, otherwise it's straight forward if a little long winded. There's also no option to change the device hostname from the default of HS100 [sic], so if you're trying to use more than 1 with 3rd party home automation, you're going to have to hope your router lets you reserve IP addresses. Other than that it interfaced flawlessly with the power control for my 3D Printer, and the device responds immediately.

    Smart plug

    Very good product works well, I use it mostly to see how much each appliance is actually using, surprised at how much a modern tv can use in standby and you think it’s not costing money. Now I can tell my home assistant to turn off and it’s off.
