    Good lightweight walk about lens

    I had been using the 18-135 lens which did not have vibration reduction. The 18-55 is so much lighter and produces much sharper hand held images. As I already have a 70-300 VR lens I should not miss 55-70.

    Why? The lens was wonderful, new I think, but it was throwen in a box with a thin layer of bubble wrap and no other padding. Conseqently, It bonced, and banged around during shipping. The barrel is jamed sideways in the main part of the lens, the trim ring is loose and jamed on the barrel and I haven't been able to remove the lens cap yet because it was jamed tight. I don't understand why someone would just throw the lens in a box and expect it to ship without being damaged. I don't want t

    Looks like new. Produces sharp images. No color cast. Light weight. Use it on Nikon D5200. Retractable feature is nice. Worked well at 30 below.
