      Fantastic, well engineered and professional Soldering iron

      As an auto electrician i am frequently using a soldering iron preferably a gas powered type of excellent professional quality. Despite extreme cold and windy outdoor jobs the gas type does suffer occasionally. Milwaukee...what can i say about this superb product. Fast warm up and with a 4ah battery in can last a good 1.5 hrs approx. Only downside,there is no protection cover for the tip. DON'T DROP IT!!! Great product and thoroughly recommended and worth every penny.

      Great Portable Soldering Iron But Bad Light Placement

      Pros: Well thought out. Heats quickly. Seems to be a sturdy design. Like the Red LED that indicates that the tip is still hot after the power is OFF, its a great safety feature. Cons: Unless you already own the battery and a charger for other Milwaukee M12 items already (like me) the price of the complete set is high. The Clear LED "spotlight" for illumination seems to have been designed on the wrong side of the tip (on the top not the bottom). This is especially noticeable when you use the product in either of the 2 angled positions. Electric soldering pencils and guns always have the light located Below the tip where the light is less subject to be blocked casting a shadow on the tip where it is most needed.

      Lite Weight Soldering Iron

      Great soldering iron heats up fast and plenty of heat for soldering. The tips are easily interchangeable and is easy iron to maneuver.

      She gets hot quick!

      It gets hot and seems to work very well. I have only used it a couple times so far but it has been a real pleasure to grab it and throw a battery in and turn it on and 30 secs later it is ready to rock and roll. I sure love these handy wireless power tools. They perform as well or better than there wired counter parts with no leash. Just another great Milwaukee product. I will have to use it more if I am going to find any complaints.

      All in all, a nice tool

      It works amazingly well. A bit heavy on the backend when the battery is in it but it's an even trade-off for not being tied to an electrical cord. Still a comfortable holding position and still farely easy to work with. Heats up quick. Takes a while to cool but it has an indicator light letting you know when it's cool enough to store away. All in all, I like it.
