    Another nice 1 series Canon

    I bought this as a reasonable cost addition to my 1DX II for shooting sports with two cameras. Controls are nearly identical to the Mark II so it is easy to go between the two bodies during fast evolving action. Typically the 1DX has a 70-200 F2.8 mounted with a 300 or 400 2.8 on the Mark II. Once you get used to shooting with the 1 series bodies they have a beautifully balanced feel with large lens and I have stuck with this line since my first 1D Mark II purchase in 2005. Great low light AF performance.

    awesome camera with great features

    This camera is suited for those photographers that demand a lot out of their equipment. That's the reason why you see a lot of the Canon "1-Series" along the sidelines of major sporting events. Yes, it is pricey... But you get what you pay for. As a contracted sports photographer, I need my gear to function all the time no matter what. This is where the "1-Series" shine. It's robust and gives great images and is practically indestructible. Are there other bodies that can do the same? Probably. It all depends on what you are looking for in a camera and how you intend to use it.

    although it is now reaching 8 + yrs in the market it still is a standard bearer. I am a professional sports shooter( Olympics, NCAA NFL PGA etc) and I still have one of these in my bag..built like a tank, outstanding image quality, and with general maintenance will last even the heaviest user demands..

    The wait was worth it.

    I wasn’t sure for a while that I really wanted to upgrade to a 1D-X. I already had a 1D Mark III and Mark IV. I wasn’t happy, though, with their low light performance. The 1DX definitely addressed that. I’ve taken trialphotos at ISO 50600that are better than ISO 3200 on either of ge other cameras without a doubt. Sharp and clear. This camera is wonderful!

    Incredible Camera

    Exceeds all expectations. Upgraded from older Canon 5d - side by side comparisons tell me that this was worth every penny. Focus speed is incredible, sensitivity in low light is amazing. Heavy camera, but ergonomic enough to hang onto comfortably for extended period. Feels very well built and durable, very happy with purchase.
