    Vintage linens and quilts

    I have used it on vintage quilts and it worked great. I'm about to put another vintage quilt in in the next day or so. It does seem a little expensive because I put the first quilt in a utility sink and it took almost half the bag for that one quilt since it took several gallons of water to cover the quilt. It was recommended to me by the president of a quilting guild who was at an estate sale when I was. I would also recommend it to anyone.

    A product that works!

    I was skeptical about using any product to clean a 100 yr old quilt. I wrote to the company asking for detailed instructions and got a great reply filled with lots of good info, very reassuring. I followed the instructions and quilt came out beautifully. Also cleaned my 62 yr old baby blanket with hand embroidered squares. Not one blemish or age spot left. No damage to threads or colors. Truly amazed. I used the method of a tub outside on hot days keeping the water warm. I did this for 48 hours. Just didnt trust the washing machine for this job. Be sure to do a test spot on your fabrics first! Be assured RetroClean works to remove age spots and yellowing.

    Favorite Product

    Gets all kinds of decades-old stains out nearly without fail, especially yellowing and sweat stains--even the toughest ones it at least fades. I trust to soak my most delicate vintage items up to 48 hours, so you don't have to worry about forgetting about it and leaving it in there! Would buy time and time again.

    So Awesome....used it on everything that needed to be white!

    This was the best purchase I have made all year. It restored a quilt that someone had thrown out--It was in such great shape stitch and fabric wise, but was stained so badly, and smelled,I thought it was a goner. I followed the directions to prepare to soak it (covered) out in the sun, and bought a kiddie pool to soak it in. Within a few hours the stains were gone. I left it in 24 hours and every piece of that quilt that was supposed to be white was WHITE. The colors are brighter, and the pieces that I thought were gray, are truly bright green! Awesome product!

    Good product, cheap packaging

    The product is effective, as advertised. Instead, I think its packaging could be improved. First the slider clasp on the neck of the bag does not work well; you think it is closed and when you lay it down the (pretty expensive) grains inside spill on the counter. I would rather see a bottle cap that is easy to operate and stays closed. Second, there is no measuring device; if a cap were used it could also measure a TB or scoop.
