I liked this album when I owned it in vinyl all those years ago. Getting it now as a CD at this great price the songs sound even better than I remembered - I've been singing them in my sleep!

Van Morrison--His Ban and the Street Choir
This is the best work I know of by this artist.The big hit-Domino, is my least favorite song on here. The one word to describe these songs would be soulfull. A great balance; very musical,danceable, yet lyrically complex enough to be interesting to try and interpret. I'll Be Your Lover,Too is a fav to cover: easy (Em C Em C Em C D), but gets 'em every time. If I Ever Needed Someone shows a humble spiritual yearning from a complex personality. I wore out a cassette of this recording, so I just had to get the cd.This is the best work I know of by this artist.The big hit-Domino, is my least favorite song on here. This arrangement of songs in particular is Van Morrison's best. A perfect mix of Boogie-Woogie and Jazz energy for dance that only Morrison could accomplish. Brings a smile to my face every time I listen. Highly recommended!

There are certain CDs that must be every msic collection ---- this is one of them. Although I like "Domino" and "Blue Money" (which get their share of Radio play), I bought this CD for the song "I'll Be Your Lover, Too". Throw that song in your CD player and take a long ride on a quiet night, or add it to one of your "Quiet Storm" collections that you put on when it's just you and your lady and you'll know what I mean.
