A brilliant album
This has to be one of the standout albums of the last 10 years. It is phenoenal. Right from the first track it is catchy and well written. It contains the singles 'The Middle' and 'Sweetness' and both are very strong songs and deserve far more than one listen. The entire album is very diverse not staying on one single sound all the way through, but it does not sound incoherant at the same time. A must have
The best jimmy album by far, a close second comes in the form of thier latest album 'chase the lights'. Look out for songs such as 'the middle', a chirpy, good sing along tune...well i enjoy it in the car anyway! Then possibly one of my favourite songs ever is 'here you me' which is simply beautiful and i think alot of us can relate to the lyrics (unfortunately). Definately worth a try, i know i've certainly been enjoying it since its release, with songs always making thier way onto the playlist on my mp3 player :) As already mentioned by another reviewer, its classed as emo, however take that with a pinch of salt, its not your stereotypical my chemical romance mainstream piffle, this is a by a talented band.The best jimmy album by far, a close second comes in the form of thier latest album 'chase the lights'. Emo at it's best
Music fans think of emo as an insult, but these guys are the godfathers of emo, but it's good emo. And this is their best album. A beautiful album right the way through, it has it's loud fast tracks too (sweetness), and it's happy medium tempo tracks (the middle), but it's mainly soft beautiful songs. Excellent.

Jimmy Eat World - Jimmy Eat World [ECD] (CD 2001)
Like the rating I have given it, this album is average. It is standard American Rock music and nothing special. I bought it because the track The Middle sounded brilliant when I heard it at a club and drunk, but did't sound too great when sober.

only really heard jimmy eat world until i played rock band 2 on xbox. classic game, classic album. if you like rock then you should own both.
