Van the Man in unashamedly nostaglic mood - magical!
This is 'Van the Man' in unashamedly nostalgic and reflective mood - just magical! Wonderful musical accompaniment by a relatively small back-up band. I heard Van Morrison perform a few of these songs recently as part of BBC4's Four Sessions at St. Luke's, with full back-up band so the texture is richer and, although his rendition of each of the songs is always unique, they seem to fit him better these days, like old gloves. However, going back to listen to the CD, when these songs were fresh and new, was still magical - highly recommended for any Van Morrison fan.This is 'Van the Man' in unashamedly nostalgic and reflective mood - just magical! magic time to listen to
Having been a Van Morrison Fan for years and owning quite a lot of Van's music and I am very selective of which I buy. So after researching this CD, decided to purchase and I am so impressed, it is classic Van Morrison with the Magic added. Highly recommend.
