A musical masterpiece
This is the second of the trilogy of albums of The Jimi Hendrix Experience group,and although the first(Are you experienced?) and the third(Electric Ladyland (a double album) ) are both masterpieces, "Axis Bold As Love" remains a very special album to me,highlights (personally) are the excellent laid back groovy sound of "Up from the skies" listen to Jimi make that famous stratocaster "talk" ,and the great wah-wah pedal effects.also the title track,has such impact and feeling,which sort of reveals the latent depths of emotion involved in its compostion,its a rather more cerebral album than the nonetheless excellent other two. One final comment "Little Wing " still reminds me of you Iris, every time i play it.
