    Great if you don't know Herge's Tintin

    Great as a comic book, but the strangely realistic backgrounds do not go with the drawn characters. It's a shame, because the characters themselves are well drawn and faithfully represent the originals. I would always suggest hunting out an original Tintin book. But I understand the desire to extend the story library.

    Not original Herge but so what??? This is a great book and story.Thumbs up!

    Just wanted to write that we received this book today and are thoroughly pleased with it.Good quality pages,bright and clear story telling and speech balloons. Have read some negative reviews of this book and film on amazon but I can't see what all the fuss is about to be honest. So what if they have taken prints from the film and made a Tintin book of the same story? I was half expecting to see photo style prints in the book after looking at amazon but no...it is lovely drawing style pics.Thats what they do with books and films since year dot isn't it? I am a big Tintin fan and now so are my kids,we love this book and it is a great addition to our collection.
