The black Motorola i series i365 is a reliable iDEN handset that can withstand anything your busy life might throw at it. The integrated Digital Enhanced Network (iDEN) was developed by Motorola and was designed to offer the benefits of both trunked radio and cell phones. iDEN phones use a SIM card that can be swapped out as needed, allowing unlocked phones to be used with a variety of networks across many countries. The i365 is compatible with Sprint Nextel, SouthernLINC Wireless, and several other iDEN service providers for more flexibility in terms of use. The i365 was released in September of 2008. This Motorola phone is sturdily built and feels solid in the hand. Measuring 5.3 by 2.1 by 1.2 inches and weighing 6.7 ounces, the i365 has plenty of heft to it. It’s not a phone that will fit easily into a pocket, but its tough design allows it to withstand several types of adverse conditions. As with the majority of Nextel phones, it’s certified to meet military specifications for resistance to humidity, blowing rain, dust, shock, vibration, and extreme temperatures. The rubberized casing wraps around the phone to provide reliable protection, while the locking mechanism on the battery cover prevents tampering or accidents. As far as electronic accessories go, the i365 is one of the most durable. The Motorola i365 features a 1.62-inch screen with a 130 by 130 pixel resolution, which displays text and colors clearly. Navigate easily through the menus and information using the controls located beneath the display. These include a dedicated menu button, a four-way toggle with an OK button located in the center, and power control as well as two soft keys and Talk and End functions. The numeric keypad is set beneath these keys for easy dialing and typing. On the left, you’ll find the volume controls that allow you to raise or lower the volume with ease, while a speakerphone button is set along the top of the phone. The 2.5mm jack on the right lets you plug in different accessories. Other accessories and features of the Motorola i365 include GPS, Bluetooth, and voice dialing. The phone comes with an address book that can hold up to 600 contacts and their information, with the ability to group contacts into different groups for easier display and searching. It can connect to other Bluetooth-enabled devices, such as wireless headsets, and its Direct Send function allows you to transmit contact information to a compatible cellular phone. With text and MMS, email, Java, a voice recorder, call forwarding, and a calendar, the Motorola i365 comes with several standard features alongside the less common ones. The battery can support up to five hours of call time and up to 140 hours on standby. This, combined with its heavy-duty type of design and GPS, Bluetooth, and other features, makes the Motorola i365 a reliable phone across Nextel and other networks. Accessories include headsets for hands-free talking. As a military-grade phone, the Motorola i365 offers a nice range of functions beyond calls while providing the durability needed to truly last through the years.
