MAFAC Replacement BLACK Brake pads
These are an excellent replacement set that fit the pad holders well and look like stock shoes. They slide in and after a slight trim to the end to match the bevel on the pad holder they were perfect. They make my Mafac Racer brakes look like new!

Brakes, you need 'em!
These KOOL STOP brake pads were a perfect replacement for the vintage Peugeot U08 I turned into a sweet single speed! They were a bit pricey, but less expensive than anywhere else I looked. It is not a slip off/slip on to remove the old ones and install the new ones. The fit in the mafac brake shoe is SNUG. I took a tip I found online and pulled out my extra large water pump pliers and off came the old worn pads, no problem. Shaved a corner on the new ones for a clean start and squeezed the new ones on. Nice! Haven't given them the full panic stop yet, but the bike stops.
