Laura - A great film noir with a haunting theme.
I saw this film when it was doing the rounds of cinemas in Croydon back in the late 1940s or early 1950s and have never forgotten it. So great to see it again on DVD and it still remains one of the best films of its genre. Moody, mysterious and haunting, with a wonderful theme: "Laura". This tune remains one of the "standards" and will never die. The two lead stars (Dana Andrews and Gene Tierney) are matched by Clifton Webb and a youngish Vincent Price in acting ability. The story has a fascinating twist or two and if you've never seen this film you're in for a treat.
