The photo does not represent what I received. I received a very old, very used, torn, tatty, water marked, crumpled, faded book. The description of 'good' was over exaggerated ten fold and I have thrown the book away, it wasn't even fit for charity. Have had two poor books from this company now and will not use again.

a 'must read' book
I loved this book. I was inspired to read it when the tv series The Durrells came out. Its much better to read it than watch it. It takes you back to a time when life was much simpler and far less 'high tech' than it is today. I look forward to finding copies of Gerald Durrell's other books,
