This a good, solid shifter. This size fits most (but not all) standard bicycle shifter cable housing and shifter cluster cable-stop end inserts. Mountain bike shifter cable clusters may have larger cable stops(caps) than this, but it was intended for the majority of non-exotic bicycle of all types. Cable snips easily if using a pair of cable cutters or medical scissors.
