Not Morse or Sweeney but it will keep you entertained
Strange one this, John Thaw usually played good characters, guys with heart, but in this series he play a news hound said to have a heart of gold, but news men are notorious for being in search of the story never mind the truth. However, once you become immersed in the stories, then his character takes on a more acceptable slant. Each episode, while following on from the last loosely, is a story in it's own right and the slightly dated style of acting and filming soon becomes unnoticable. Missing gem.
I can't understand why this entertaining series has not been shown on tv,it was exciting and fun and John Thaw was as good in this as ever.
